We hold Chattel Auctions at our Ellesmere Saleroom in Wharf Road. These are for Private Sellers together with family estate items through Solicitors and Banks etc.

We are particularly beneficial to Executors and Relatives when probate appraisal and contents sales are required. We can sell the property either by Private Treaty or Public Auction and also arrange the whole house clearance for auction sale.

Clocks and timepieces topped the bidding at one of North Shropshire's leading auction houses recently.

Bowen Son and Watson reported a brisk trade at its Wharf Saleroom in Ellesmere for its first sale of Antique Furniture, Collectables and General Household Effects in 2008.

One of the most keenly contested lots in the sale was a French Mantle Clock, which stimulated excited bidding both in the room and on the phones to reach £652. Other notable prices included an 8-day Grandfather Clock, which reached £675 whilst a Gold pocket watch made £393

Auctioneer's Jon Bevan and Dan Evans commented that, 'The majority of the sale came from two local house clearances and it was a real pleasure to see such a packed Saleroom for such a varied and interesting sale'
